The Beach

She loved every second of visiting San Diego! She played in the chilly water, ate sand, knocked down sand castles, went on a bike ride, lots of walks, and spent a day at Sea World! She had a perma smile! I did realize that a vacation with older parents and a one year old is a lot of work. We were exhausted by the time we got home. Totally worth it but exhausted.

First Birthday!

We just celebrated Charlotte’s first birthday and it was a blast! I may have gone a bit overboard but it was totally worth every second of her happiness. Charlotte loves people and attention so she was in heaven during her party. There were about 10 kids - ages ranging from 8 months old to four and she played with them all. She may have made two of the little boys cry… Here are some photos.
We are really excited to see what the next year brings. She already amazes us every day. Bullets from the last couple weeks…. • She can say Dog (and bark like one), Eli (her favorite cousin), Hi and NO. Still waiting for her to say Mommy and Daddy with meaning! She babbles all day long and I really want to know what she is thinking! • She is always holding her hand to her ear pretending to be on the phone. She will put it over her ear and say Hi. • She can now run…if she knows you want to grab her she will squeal and pick up the pace to get away from you. It makes me laugh every time. • She feeds the dogs from her highchair. I have to lock them up now during dinner. • She will grab a book and back up to sit in your lap so you can read together…love this. • We started to transition to whole milk and she loves it. • The only food she won’t eat is broccoli • Leaving tomorrow for her first trip to the Beach! San Diego here we come!
