Holding my breath again…

I went in today for another US today (7w2d). The RE immediately zoomed in on the little heartbeat so that made me happy. He did all his measurements and the baby is measuring 2 days behind. He was not worried at all and kept saying that everything looks great. So, I am not really sure what to think at this point. The weekly US were supposed to ease my mind…not make me crazy (crazier). I guess all I can do is wait until next Thursday and pray that the little bugger keeps getting bigger and stays healthy.

The only symptoms I am having are constant hunger and very sore boobs. I have not had any nausea yet. I have a feeling it’s coming though!

  1. Perfectly normal to be measuring slightly differently to dates so try not to worry. A strong healthy heartbeat is awesome news!!

  2. i found every little thing to be worrisome. i googled "heartbeat too high", "heartbeat too low", "measuring x days ahead", "measuring x days behind". omg, it was crazy. pls try to stay sane until next week's u/s. 2 days behind doesn't sound like anything to be worried about :o) xoxo.

  4. Great news on the heartbeat!
I was fine with nausea until week 6, then it was awful for about four weeks. So far week 10 is going pretty well.
Can't wait to hear how next week's us goes!!!!

  6. Wonderful news about the strong heartbeat! Try not to worry about the measurements. A lot of times those machines (or the doctors themselves!) can be off by a few days.

  9. I had this exact same worry at my 7 week u/s. He measured 3 days behind and I freaked out. They are measuring such a tiny little thing, te measurements can be slightly off. I believe they have 3 day margin of error anyway. So as long as you are in that range, it's measuring correctly and not behind. My little one always measured ahead at every subsequent u/s and is now a happy healthy 14 month old! Try not to worry. Although, I did not relax about this particular fact until my 8 week u/s, and then I made up new things to worry about. Hang in there!

  10. Also, I never had much nausea either. Fatigue and big sore boobies were my main 1st trimester symptoms.

Thank you again for the gift card for baby Matthew! It was very thoughtful of you and I am very grateful.
