I started the weekend on a high from my beta results but that quickly came to an end on Sunday when I started spotting.  I took it easy yesterday (didn’t move my ass from the couch) and the spotting has stopped (I think).  I have a call into the RE but I doubt they will be able to tell me anything this early in the game.  So here I am, holding my breath until my US on the 24th

  1. I know easier said than done, but just try to relax. Spotting very early on is normal, especially if you are using any type of suppositories. Praying for everything to be fine from here on out for you!

  3. Ugh, I know this is so hard. I started spotting (more than spotting, really) the day after my second beta, and all was well. Hoping for the same results for you!

  5. I know the waiting stinks and the spotting is terribly scary. Just try to keep reminding yourself that spotting can be completely normal in early pregnancy. AND, if you are using suppositories, spotting is even more common. (I had full blown bleeding and was sure I had lost the baby at 5 1/2 weeks).

I know there isn't much you can do other than wait for the ultrasound. If it would help with your nerves, you could always beg the RE for one more Beta to make sure the numbers are still rising. Hang in there.

  6. I will not say to not freak out, because that is like telling a kid to not eat the last piece of chocolate. If it is any consultation I spotted twice around the same time after postive betas from my IVF cycle. I was told to take a shot of progesterone and rest. It worked and after 6 weeks or so I never spotted again. It really is common to spot during early pregnancy.
I will keep you in my prayers.

  12. Thinking of you. I would say that spotting can be normal, but I know that doesn't mean much if you've previously lost. So instead, all I can say is stay strong and take it one day at a time. Hoping for the best. Hang in there!

  17. Oh, crap. Just having to even think about this is far too stressful!! I, like many others, had some spotting early on - just before the 1st u/s - and everything ended up being just fine. I hope that it's the same for you!! It really IS common, even if that's little comfort. HUGS
