For those of you who have followed me for the past month I thought I would give a quick update on my friend who had her baby. If you recall I was upset that she was considering using my favorite girls name. Well, she had her baby last week and didn’t use it! I was so happy to hear this! I know in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter (who knows if I will ever get pregnant or have a girl) but I hated the fact that one of my friends was so lucky and might use my name.
On a side note…I hate the name she went with…it makes me feel even better about the situation. I know that I need to grow up but this is my place to be caddy about this stuff! I can only gossip with my hubby for so long before he is done.

ReplyDeleteI don't think this is a growing up kind of situation. You have been trying for some time and are still struggling with your situation. It's normal for you to not be happy she was thinking about using the name you want. Don't be so hard on yourself.

ReplyDeleteI had the same feelings about my niece. I was insanely jealous of the fact they got KU the same month they started trying. Then they went with a name of a department store...spelled slightly differently...I felt much better. At least my eventual child wouldn't be teased!

ReplyDeleteYou don't need to grow up. I have the same reactions and feelings to those sorts of things!!! I will never tell people the names we've chosen, mostly because I'm afraid of them "stealing" our names. It sounds ridiculous, but really it's one of the few things we can hold onto in this IF mess.
